PRE-USE NOTICE

Prior to using the Mint Cosmetics teeth whitening kit you should be aware of the following issues:

Our teeth whitening kit is designed exclusively for the purpose of whitening your natural teeth. This kit will not guarantee to whiten any other dental work (beyond its original colour) including fillings, veneers, crowns and bridges. This whitening treatment can cause some temporary sensitivity the gums, particular if you have pre-existing gum sensitivity.

You should consult your dentist before using this tooth whitening kit if you have any dental problems such as holes in your teeth or you have been advised by a dentist not to use whitening products in the past.

Once you have opened the teeth whitening gel it should be used within 3 months. You should discard the gel if it starts to become runny.

Store tooth whitening kits in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Avoid exposing to any extreme temperatures.

Allergy Advice and Usage Warning

The Mint Cosmetics teeth whitening kit should not be used in these circumstances:

 

  • You are pregnant or breast feeding.
  • You are under the age of 18 years old.
  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients including calcium, magnesium, glycol, sodium hydroxide, carbopol, glycerine or sodium fluoride.
  • You have any decayed or abscessed teeth or unfilled cavities.
  • You have any periodontal problems (gum disease) or any loose teeth, bridgework or crowns.

 

This product can cause increased sensitivity in the gums and teeth during the cause of the treatment.

Do not swallow the mouth guard apparatus. Swallowing large volumes of the gel can cause slight throat and mouth irritation. If you do accidently swallow some of the tooth whitening gel then gargle and rinse your mouth with fresh water and spit it out (don’t swallow it). If the gel comes into contact with your skin or hair then wash clean with plenty of fresh running water.

If you experience any persistent symptoms from coming into contact with the teeth whitening gel then you should consult a medical practitioner.
